hard money is money raised and spent to elect candidates for congress and the white house. soft money is money given to party organizatons for such as candidate recruitement, voter registration and the get out to vote drives and similar efforts.
2. What is the electoral process and is this something that you agree or disagree with and why?
the first step in the electoral process is you can vote early by absentee voting and then there is the cottail effect. then you can cast the ballot. there is automated voting that people can do and vote by mail and online voting. i disagree with the online voting because i dont think there is enough safety for that and a hacker could get into it and change the results.
3. What is the difference between a closed and open primary?
a closed primary is where only declared party members can vote. an open primary is where any qualified voter can cast a ballot.
4. Explain what absentee voting is and what the positives and negative may be with regards to it:
absentee voting is where people can cast their ballot before election day. it is a procees by which they could vote without going to their polling places. there are some positive and negatives to it the negative is doing it that way there is a chance it could get screwed up somehow and not get the right numbers and and the positive to it is that there isint so many people showing up to vote on the day of the election.
5. What changes to your see in the way we run elections ten years from now?
the changes that i think we will see is voting from your home and there will be no more polling places and all the voting and counting will all be done with a machine. i dont think that is right because i know there wont be enough saftey voting from your home and a hacker could easily get in and change it.
6. Explain your views on money and elections with regards the amount of money that is spent:
i think that the money spent on elections is too much and i dont think that we need to spend millions of dollars on elections. but it is the person with all the moneys choice how much they want to spend.
7. Go to cnn.com or foxnews.com and find an article dealing with the election process. Post the article in your blog and provide your viewpoints pertaining to the article.
On election eve Republicans are finishing strong in key states.
The final round of Fox News battleground state polls shows Democratic incumbents in trouble across the country.
The latest surveys were conducted on Oct. 30 by Pulse Opinion Research for Fox News. Each survey included 1,000 likely voters and has a margin of error of 3. The latest Fox News Battleground state poll shows Republican Sharron Angle now leading Reid by 3 points, 48 percent to 45 percent among likely voters. Reid dropped two points from the last Fox poll of the Silver State two weeks ago. my view point on this article is that there shouldnt be a margin for error it should all be correct without any margin for an error. because if there is an error that just creates more of a problem for the election
